About our Hats & Visors
- The wooden bill of the hat is available in a variety of hardwoods. The premier wood in the line is Koa, a beautiful wood found only in the Hawaiian Islands. We use two different grades of Koa for the bill. The first is a fine select koa, with highlights and figure. The premium choice is curly Koa, one of the most highly prized woods in the world. Other woods available include, but are not limited to: Bamboo, Wenge, Mahogany, Zebrawood, Sapele Pomele, Australian Lacewood and Teak.
- The wood is finished with three coats of a high quality exterior urethane marine varnish which has an ultraviolet inhibitor, protecting against sun damage.
- Our hats are available in five primary colors as well as three aloha fabrics. The solid colors are black, maroon,dark blue, forest green and khaki (see samples for the aloha designs). The hats are adjustable via a covered velcro fastener.
- The solid color hats hats come with the words “Hardwood Hat Company” on the front of the cap in antigue gold embroidery. These are also available with no logo. The aloha fabric hats have no logo.
